Brentford have reportedly become the first Premier League club to show interest in Josh Sargent, as they prepare to part with Ivan Toney.

The Bees are aware that England international Toney is likely to be on the move in the summer transfer window. Having proved his worth at the very highest level, the 27-year-old has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Norwich may yet force their way into the Championship play-offs, which would offer them a shot at returning to the Premier League, but Sargent could be heading in that direction regardless – with Brentford unlikely to be the last top-flight outfit to mull over a move for the proven goalscorer.
