After United's 1-0 defeat against Newcastle on Saturday, it was reported in British media that the United boss is facing a revolt from within his team, with players urging him to bring outcast Jadon Sancho back into the squad. Pochettino was asked if he has any wise words for his counterpart given he has dealt with big egos in his career.

"No. I am only a coach that tries to do my best with my coaching staff," he said at a press conference. "We are not capable of giving advice to my colleagues. I think they have experience. I don't want to talk about what is going on there or another place because it is not my duty. I need to be focused because we have many things to deal with and I am very respectful."

United responded to the media reports by banning four journalists from Ten Hag's press conference this week on Tuesday. The Red Devils are currently seventh in the Premier League with 24 points from 14 games, leaving them nine points behind leaders Arsenal.
